Important Information about the 30-lap Event
Due to our contractual agreement with the Nassau Coliseum, we were forced to stop racing
with two classes remaining to run their race (Rotax International and Super Yamaha).
The Coliseum had an event that evening (without our previous knowledge) and needed our parking lot
vacated before we were finished, which is their option under our contract.
Under our contract we have use of the lot from 8 AM until 5 PM.

The LIKA Board of Directors decided that these races will not be made up
and, as per the 2008 LIKA rulebook (see page 26, Scoring in the Event
of Race Cancellation
), these classes will be scored by qualifying times.

Important Schedule Changes!!!
Due to another yet another schedule change by the Nassau Coliseum,
The September 28th event will be the final race of the Vanderbilt Series.
The Long Island Championship races dates have been moved back one race
event, and the Turkey Race will be held on a newly added Sunday, November 16th.

Please check the schedule for these changes

Important Information on Timing, Scoring, and
Transponders

All karts are required to have a transponder to be scored.

It is the transponders owner to make sure the transponder is functioning
properly and properly mounted on their kart. The race entrant
is responsible
for remembering to place the transponder on the kart prior to each race.
If you forget to place your transponder on you kart, you WILL NOT be scored.

If you have reason to believe that you transponder may be
damaged or otherwise not functioning, please tell scoring BEFORE
practice begins.

Since all entrants are entered into the computer in their registered class, it
is important the you enter the track ONLY with your registered class. If
you enter the track during another session (for example, qualifying with a
different class), your kart WILL NOT be scored.
